Welcome to Subswoop. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Subswoop website and services (collectively, the "Service"). Please read these Terms carefully before using our Service.
By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, you may not access the Service.
1. Service Description
Subswoop is a web-based expense tracking service that allows users to monitor and manage their recurring expenses. We provide tools for:
- Tracking and categorizing expenses
- Analyzing spending patterns
- Managing recurring payments
- Customizing expense categories
- Receiving notifications about upcoming payments
Our service is designed as a manual expense tracker, meaning we do not connect to your bank accounts or automatically import financial data. All expense information is entered manually by you.
2. User Accounts
To use Subswoop, you must create an account. By creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information about yourself
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or use of your account
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use our Service. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 16 years of age.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if any information provided during the registration process or thereafter proves to be inaccurate, false, or misleading, or if you fail to comply with these Terms.
3. Free and Premium Services
Subswoop offers two service tiers:
3.1 Free Tier:
- Limited to 5 expense entries
- Basic expense tracking features
- Standard email support
- No credit card required
3.2 Premium Tier:
- Up to 100 expense entries
- Advanced analytics and reporting
- Email notifications for upcoming payments
- Priority support
- Priced at $2 per month, billed monthly or annually
3.3 Payment Terms:
- All payments are processed through our third-party payment processors
- Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
- No refunds will be provided for partial subscription periods
- You may cancel your subscription at any time, and your service will continue until the end of your current billing period
- We reserve the right to change our pricing with 30 days' notice
4. User Data
Your rights regarding your data:
- You retain all rights to the data you input into our Service
- We only use your data to provide, maintain, and improve our Service
- We will never sell your personal data to third parties
- You can export or delete your data at any time through your account settings

5. Acceptable Use
When using our Service, you agree not to:
5.1 Prohibited Activities:
- Use our Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws

- Transmit any viruses, malware, or other harmful code
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Collect or harvest any information from the Service without our permission
- Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity
5.2 Content Restrictions:
While our Service primarily involves the input of expense data, any content you submit, including custom category names, notes, or communications with our support team, must not:
- Be defamatory, obscene, offensive, hateful, or inflammatory
- Promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age
- Infringe any copyright, database right, or trademark of any other person
- Be likely to deceive any person
- Be in breach of any legal duty owed to a third party
6. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content (excluding content provided by users), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Subswoop and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.
Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of Subswoop.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Subswoop, its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, partners, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:
- Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service
- Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
- Any content obtained from the Service
- Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content
In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims exceed the amount you have paid to us for the Service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the liability, or $100 if you have not had any payment obligations to us.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or course of performance.
Subswoop does not warrant that: (a) the Service will function uninterrupted, secure, or available at any particular time or location; (b) any errors or defects will be corrected; (c) the Service is free of viruses or other harmful components; or (d) the results of using the Service will meet your requirements.
We do not provide financial advice, and the information displayed through our Service should not be considered financial advice. We are not responsible for any financial decisions you make based on the information tracked through our Service.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any significant changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Service.
